Who We Are

Our Team & Leadership

Young Faith in Christ (YFC) is blessed to have a staff that has the heart and commitment to provide the organizational framework of ministry that is to meet some of the emotional and spiritual needs of students. Our team also includes our dedicated  Board of Directors; and of course our many loving and generous volunteers that Mentor and / or lead Bible clubs.

Tami Scruggs

Tami Scruggs

Assistant Director/Bible Club Coordinator

tami@yfcparkland.org

Tami has three grown children, three grandchildren (whom she adores). She has always loved music, therefore, being in the church choir has always been her choice place of service. Tami recently went to Paintsville, KY to serve with CAP (Christian Appalachian Project) in the elderly home repair ministry. She also serves in children's church and co-hosts small groups with her husband at Parkland Chapel. In the past she has served with her church's childrens ministry Awanas, choir, vacation Bible school, and Music & Missions. Tami had felt a desire to serve in ministry for many years when she became the Mentor/Bible Club Coordinator where she served from 2013 until 2018. After being gone a few years, she returned in October of 2020 to help get the ministry back in action when Covid-19 caused a brief halt. Tami believes the work done at YFC is making a difference in many lives. The difference isn't just for the students that are mentored, the kids that attend Bible clubs, and the youth that visit the Skate Park. The volunteers are truly blessed as well.

Fairlight Renaud

Fairlight Renaud

Mentor Coordinator

fairlight@yfcparkland.org

Fairlight Renaud has had a passion for years to see young disillusioned students gain stability and freedom in Christ. After her own dad departed from his faith in Christ and abandoned his family, she set out on a quest to experience the power of the Gospel and research the claims of Jesus in the Bible. She has spent countless hours studying theology, evidence for God/creation, and godly boundaries for Christian families. Fairlight has studied Christian worldview at Ellerslie Discipleship Training School and Summit Ministries. In her free time, Fairlight is passionate about deep connections with her husband, Abe, spending time with family and friends, hiking, camping, hunting, singing, and playing piano. Fairlight also ministers on the worship team at Parkland Chapel.

Amanda and Nathan have three teenage children and are closer to empty nest than they would like. When Amanda and her family have free time, they can be found mountain biking or working on their remodeling project.
